Getting involved in vaccine research

We are looking for members of the public with an interest in vaccine research who can help us to:
– improve information materials for participants in our studies
– improve our websites
– consider how we could recruit more effectively for our studies
– design better research studies

You do not need any specialist knowledge to join the group, just an interest in vaccines. We are particularly keen to recruit parents, as many of our studies involve babies and children.

The group will meet around four times a year. Group members may be asked to give some time between meetings for reading materials or advising on specific studies. Meetings are usually held at the Oxford Vaccine Group offices on the Churchill Hospital site in Oxford.

Oxford Vaccine Group is committed to preventing diseases through vaccination. We carry out research studies of new and improved vaccines for babies, children, teenagers and adults. We are part of the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Oxford, and the group is led by Professor Andrew J Pollard.
