Have you had treatment for bowel cancer? Can you help us develop a new tool for early detection of bowel cancer using blood test results?

I’m looking to incorporate PPI in the setup and running of a new research project. In particular, I am looking for two or three patients who have previously been diagnosed and treated for bowel cancer.

The project will be a PhD and will run for 3 years (at the Centre for Statistics in Medicine, University of Oxford). In these three years, I would like patient representatives to meet with me once or twice a year for approximately one or two hours (location can be discussed, but presumed at the University of Oxford) to discuss the progress of the project and the forthcoming goals. I would like the representatives to review any dissemination of outputs from my research. This includes reviewing any manuscripts for publication, presentations, etc.

I would like to get the patient representatives to confirm their involvement in my research before the end of May 2018. This is due to my PhD application deadline in June, where I intend to discuss PPI. The PhD will run for three years, starting from October 2018.

Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
